Biography

I grew up in China and then pursued my undergraduate studies in applied mathematics at UCSD. I joined a research lab to work on applying machine learning on pathological fungal detection. I was instantly intrigued by the intersection of computer science and healthcare. This experience eventually led to me to switch to Bioengineering: Bioinformatics. Upon the completion of the fungal image analysis project, I joined San Diego Supercomputer Center to collaborate with Human Vaccines Project to help develop Bioinformatics pipelines and web-based tools to help immunologists analyze genetic data of adaptive immune system more efficiently. I'm currently working on applying machine learning in analyzing radiology FAST exam in the Kornblith lab at UCSF.
